Networks

A network is a group of people responding to Jesus’ call who are passionate about a common interest or concern and connect with one another in a variety of ways.

Network Grant Applications are available twice a year.  The 2012 Application is available and must be submitted by either December 31, 2011 (distribution no later than February 28) or May 30 (distribution no later than July 31).  Networks may apply both times BUT preference is given to first time applicants and networks are expected to become self-funded over time.

Presbyterian Men Mission Network

Connect Presbyterian Men Groups from the Synod to share ideas and provide services

Pittsburgh Presbytery

Presbyterian Media Mission Tech Development

Upgrade the current PMM website and develop social networking for ministry and mission to include phone app software used to alert the communities of urgent situations

Pittsburgh Presbytery

Crestview Community Church PCUSA Web Project

Develop a community website to include Fire Department, Crestview Church, Post Office, Town Council and other community groups

Beaver-Butler Presbytery

Church Office Disciples (COD)

Create a ministry outreach for church office staff including educational workshops, speakers, and events

Northumberland Presbytery

McDonald PC/Midway PC Family Promise Partnership

Provide housing for temporarily homeless families in the community 1 week at a time, 5 times a year & is part of the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Southwestern PA

Washington Presbytery

Community Connection ~ Food and Friends

Provide free meals bi-weekly to the hungry in the South Hills of Pittsburgh involving Peters Creek PC (Faithful Remnant), Thomas PC and communities members

Washington Presbytery

CCHC (Clinton County Housing Coalition)

 

Northumberland Presbytery

Empty Bowls Monongalia

Provides soup in a handmade bowl in exchange for a donation to combat hunger. Proceeds have been donated to local Monogalia County, WV food pantries and feeding programs.  Held once a year.
