Latino Ministry Conversation held |

On Friday, January 18, 2008, three Synods and seven Presbyteries hosted the first Latino Ministry Conversation at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Trenton, NJ. An animated group of 36 met to discuss the current situation and future direction of Latino ministry along the Eastern Seaboard. Synod Executives, Tom Robinson, Synod of the Trinity, John Winings, Synod of Mid-Atlantic, and Clint McCoy, Synod of the NorthEast, along with attendees from the presbyteries of
Monmouth, West Jersey, New Brunswick, Lehigh, Philadelphia, Donegal, and New Castle, shared experiences and concerns of latino ministry. |
 The all-day event began with a presentation by
the Rev.
Gabriel A. Salguero (on right) of The Princeton Theological Seminary’s Hispanic Leadership Program, a Latino Certified Lay Pastors Program. Lively conversations included the differences and similarities that those present face as they work to create and sustain a viable latino ministry.
