Polarizing Times" |
June 8 through 11, 2008

Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will be hosting
the 68th Annual Leaders hip Conference from June 8 through 11 with the focus on family systems – understanding relationships within our families and within our congregations. Keynote speaker is Ronald W. Richardson (right), former Clinical Director of the North Shore Counseling Centre, a pastoral counselor, and an author of four books, including Creating a Healthier Church and Becoming a Healthier Pastor. Richardson was an inner city pastor in Wilmington Delaware and Rochester New York. After obtaining a DMin in Marriage and Family Therapy, he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, to practice. He later became Director of Training at the North Shore Counseling Centre and its Executive Director.

Marsha Foster Boyd (left) is the keynote preacher. She is currently the president of Ecumenical Theological Seminary. Boyd was previously the Director of Accreditation and Leadership Education at the Association of Theological Schools in Pittsburgh, PA. She was also the Academic Dean of Payne Theological Seminar in Ohio, and was associate professor of pastoral care and counseling at United Theological Seminar in Dayton, Ohio.

Because this program is partially funded by a grant and presented in collaboration with the
Western Pennsylvania Family Center, the registration fee is $135 which includes all plenary sessions, daily worship, two workshop tracks, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner for three days. Housing is extra. Click below for the detailed brochure listing all workshops and presenters.
