The 2006 Conference for adults and youth offers opportunities to equip churches and presbyteries within the Synod of the Trinity with the 21st century evangelism and mission tools.  We have committed to being a missional synod.  The Racial Ethnic Coordinating Team (RECT) envisions missional presbyteries and missional congregations that extend our ministry into the communities in which our sanctuaries are located.  And we extend our ministry not simply with outreach programs but with the zeal characteristic of “Christ as missionary” to a world that hurts and hungers for wholeness and healing.

We invite you to join us in this missional endeavor in by attending the Dr. Mark Lomax 2006 Missional Church Conference:   Called to Be Missionary . . . Not Stationary! from July 7 - 9, 2006 at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel and Rev. Stephany Graham Jackson Convention Center in Camp Hill. Keynote speaker, Rev. Dr. Mark Lomax of the First African Presbyterian Church, and opening worship leader, Rev. Stephany Graham Jackson from PC(USA) African American Leadership Development, will be joined by workshop leaders Rev. Jon Chapman, PC(USA) Worldwide Ministries, Rev. Dr. Nancy Muth, First Presbyterian Church, Germantown, Rev. Steve Boots, PC(USA) Congregational Transformation, and Rev. Angel Suarez, PC(USA) Office of Immigrant Groups.

The 2006 Missional Youth Church Conference,"Transforming our Church...our Way!", will be held also.  Relevant leadership development, Holy Hip Hop, workshops and socializing will be highlighted for our future leaders.

This is a conference for all churches within the bounds of our synod, particularly those congregations engaged in or desirous of meaningful, genuine engagement and partnerships with African American communities.
