Thanks to a member with a vision – and a grant from the Presbytery of Lake Erie – Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Erie, PA, has turned an unused, dark and dank basement into Faith Café, where as many as a hundred folks of all ages gather weekly to listen to Christian-themed bands.
The Faith Café showcases a different local Christian band each week from various denominations, backgrounds, age groups and musical style. The one thing they all have in common is a love of the Lord and enjoyment in sharing their talents for His divine purpose. The bands play two sets of music with a brief uplifting message in between the sets.

Various refreshments are available all evening.
Reaction and feedback from bands, guests and congregation members has been positive and new visitors attend every week. One guest said, “I love coming here every week. Everyone is so nice to me. This place has changed my life.”
The Faith Café is located at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 3520 Perry Street, Erie. It is open every Saturday from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. For more information or if you are interested in performing, contact Keith Rine at (814) 866-2778.
