Presbytery of Philadelphia
seeks Transitional Presbyter
The Presbytery of Philadelphia is searching for a Transitional Presbyter to lead America’s first presbytery. With approximately 138 congregations located in the four counties of Southeast Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Presbytery has over 40,000 members with more than 375 minister members serving in a broad variety of ministries in the metropolitan Philadelphia area and around the world.
We have 1) recently adopted a missional plan, 2) a new structure based upon this plan, 3) three recently called Associate Executives, 4) a strong and historic urban and suburban congregations, and 5) challenges of urban ministry in the 21st century.
We are looking for:
A leader who is committed to the mission of the Church
A leader who is energized by the challenges faced by a metropolitan presbytery
A leader who is grounded in Reformed theology
A leader who brings a pastoral presence to a changing presbytery
A leader who is committed to developing and supporting strong congregations
A leader who will partner with us for 2-4 years
