Disaster Preparedness Training

Pilot Program

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is facilitating a one-day pilot test for the ‘Emotional and Spiritual Care in Disasters’  (ESCD) component of the Disaster Preparedness training “Community Arise” for the Synods of the Trinity, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.  It will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm at the Church on the Mall, 500 W. Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Encouraged to attend are pastors, denominational leaders, church board leaders, Stephen and Lay Care Providers, and disaster responders.  While there is no cost to attend, participants are responsible for providing their lunch.  The food court is located next to the meeting room.  The group is limited to 25 and all registering will be asked to complete 20-30 minutes of on-line training prior to the class.
