Dear Mission Grants and Scholarship Committee,
Thank you so much for your grant in support of our visit to our sister church, Migowi C.C.A.P., in Malawi, Africa. Our group of six enjoyed an amazing time of working, worshiping and fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

We were privileged to assist with some of the construction of their new church (pictur
ed above and at right), to deliver much needed school supplies, clothing and a computer for our joint AIDS Home Care Project (pictured left) and to provide financial support for their School for the Deaf. Most awesome of all was our opportunity to share in the incredibly exuberant joy of their five hour worship service! The “tie that binds” was truly palpable in that remote village sanctuary the Sunday we worshipped together. We even got to connect with our Beulah congregation via a phone call home during their worship service that same day.
Next on our itinerary was a stop at Ndirande C.C.A.P. to lead a Bible study and craft activity as part of a weekly program for handicapped individuals (2 albino children pictured on left), followed by a visit to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance sites (pictured below) where famine, drought, disease and poverty have been actively battled for several years. We also took a little time to be tourists as we spent an overnight in a w
ildlife park enjoying elephants, hippos, gazelles, gibbons, bushbucks, and many other animals. Our final project was to introduce World Bible Quizzing to the Youth of the Synod of Blantyre and present them with the materials needed to start their own Quizzing program.
Our Malawi Journey 2005 was a life-changing opportunity to be “mutually encouraged by each other’s faith” (Romans 12:12), and we appreciate the assistance provided by the Synod of the Trinity.
