Fourteen members of Derry Presbyterian Church recently returned from a week-long mission trip
to Masaya, Nicaragua where they built two houses and conducted Bible school for the local community. This group, consisting of 5 youth and 9 adults, represented Derry's fifth trip to Masaya, an area struck previously by a hurricane and earthquake.
Participants spent the week working, eating, building, and playing with the local populace, thus gaining firsthand knowledge as to the life and living conditions experienced by 80-85% of the world's population. Appreciation is expressed for travel assistance provided by The Synod of the Trinity.
