Thank you and the Synod of the Trinity for your support of our mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Four people went on our trip, Pastor Gary Weston, Mark Vincent, Marian Springer and Ellen Liebold. We stayed with Jim and Teresa White, missionaries in the Santiago area.

Re-wired house |
We had many great experiences throughout the week, but I want to highlight three. Mark and Gary rewired a home for a missionary. His wiring was a “rat’s nest”, but he said there were so many needs in the community that he didn’t want to use the money on himself. It was good to see safe wiring being installed where they had already had three electrical fires.

| Pastor Gary with interpreter |
Pastor Gary did the sermon and dedicated a new church building at a poor community of Brisas del Este. We have been going to this community since 2003, and have been supporting them. The people of the community did most of the work on the building, with the help of some

mission teams. Gary also anointed their pastor during the service.

Voodoo Cross |
We went to the northern part of the country to two Haitian villages. Jim has been going there to evangelize because voodoo is very strong there. While there we did some

basic health teaching. There were also American teachers there from another mission at these villages. There villages are very poor, and they
don’t have any clean water.
Thank you again for your support. We are starting to plan on another trip to continue to work with Jim and Teresa White in their mission.
