The Grants and Scholarships Committee of the Synod of the Trinity has approved Peacemaking grants to individuals and groups in 2010 who are peacemakers both locally and globally. The current recipient list - which was granted between Jan 1 and April 20, 2010 - is available below. Grants are available throughout 2010 however, the application MUST be received two months prior to the activity and the grant is not retroactive.

The Synod is happy to support these peacemaking effor ts through the generous donations of our congregations on Peacemaking Sunday in October. The theme for the 2010 Offering is “Celebrate Christ, Our Peace.” The art (pictured on right) is The Last Supper, a serigraph by John August Swanson.
Since January 1, 2010, the Synod has granted over $24,000 which has been or will be enabling peacemaking efforts from Ghana to Haiti to Zambia to Montana and beyond.
PLEASE NOTE: Peacemaking Funds are currently depleted and no grants are available. However we hope that additional grants will be available later this year. Please check back. The 2010 Synod Peacemaking Grant Application is available to download and print or by calling Marcia Humer at our Synod office (800-242-0534, ext. 233) or via email at mhumer@syntrinity.org.
