A Report Card on Democracy in Pennsylvania:
"Are Pennsylvania's Leaders Practicing Representative Democracy?"
The forum on democracy will be held on Monday, May 9, 2005 at
7:00 p.m. at the Market Square Presbyterian Church, 20 N. 2nd Street,
Harrisburg. The event is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Council of
Churches, joined by Common Cause, the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania,
Lutheran Advocacy Ministry in Pennsylvania, Presbyterian Citizens in Action, and A
United Methodist Witness in Pennsylvania.
The presenter is Tim Potts,
former staffer to the Pennsylvania Legislature, who will discuss what
democracy really means, how it is being practiced in Pennsylvania, and
what we, as citizens of the Commonwealth, can do about it. Representatives from the legislative leadership have been invited to address concerns raised during the session. For more information, call the Pennsylvania Council of
