Bishop László Tokés elected to European Parliament

Congratulations to László Tokés, Bishop of the Hungarian Reformed Church, upon his election to the European Parliament in November of 2007. An unbowed Tokés commented on election night, "I knocked out the Greater Romania Party", referring to the fact that while he had won a seat, the anti-Hungarian Greater Romania Party had lost all five of its own.

| In June 2007, Bishop Tokés was welcomed by participants and spoke at the closing of the 2007 Synod Summer Conference held at Arcadia Unversity. The Rev. Joan S. Gray, 217th General Assembly's Moderator, was the featured keynote speaker.
