Presbytery
to Install New Chaplain at Westminster College
Shenango
Presbytery will install the Rev. James Mohr as the fourth
Chaplain of Westminster College on Sunday, February 22,
at 7:00 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.
Rev.
Mohr comes to Westminster College from St. Andrews United
Presbyterian Church in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he has
been pastor since 1995. While at St. Andrews, he moved
through a successful $750,000 building renewal program;
helped to develop a free community meal project that serves
over 100 meals each Wednesday night; created the first downtown
Butler Christian Preschool; and hosted the first Christian
counseling service in his church.
Mohr
served four years at the First United Church in Silver Creek,
New York, and four years in the First Presbyterian Church
in St. Petersburg, Florida. He earned his undergraduate
degree from Muskingum College, and his master's degree from
Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He and
his wife, Jill, reside in New Wilmington. They have two
grown children, Angie and Katie, who are currently in college,
and a Springer Spaniel named Piper.
