It is with great JOY that The
Synod of the Trinity announces that over $150,000 of scholarships and grants were awarded to undergraduate and graduate students for
the 2006-2007 academic year! We are thrilled to be able to financially support our Presbyterian students, those of ethnicity, those attending one of our seven Synod-related institutions, and those pursuing graduate religious studies.
Five members of the Grants and Scholarship Review Committee pondered over more than 500 undergraduate applications and granted 260 students one of our 3 scholarships:
| Totaling more than $132,000 and ranging from $375 to $675 each, these scholarships not only assist the student but alleviates the financial burden on the family. Click here to read thank you comments from the students. |

In addition nine graduate students received $23,000 through the Mary Meade Maxwell Fund and/or the Mary L. Clark
Grant. Both scholarships are designed for those pursuing ministerial and/or
full-time church-related vocations.
The
Synod is very proud to be a small part of these students' educational
life and goals. If you know of a high school senior,
current college student, or post-graduate student, please
encourage them to investigate and apply for our scholarships
for the 2007-2008 academic year. Applications and guidelines
will be available in late October online, by calling our Synod office (800-242-0534, ext. 233), or
by emailing Marcia Humer at scholarships@syntrinity.org.
