As the cost of higher education rises, more and more students are searching for financial help to supplement their resources. The Synod of the Trinity is pleased to announce 256 scholarships to undergraduate students and 21 awards to graduate students totaling more than $155,000.
Wading through more than 550 applications, the Grants and Scholarship Review Committee offered undergraduate funds to financially support our Presbyterian students, those of ethnicity, and those attending one of our seven Synod-related institutio ns. When the dust settled, 77 freshman, 57 sophomores, 62 juniors and 60 seniors received grants ranging from $375 to $700 for the academic year. Our 3 undergraduate applications are:
Application forms will be online and available for the 2008-2009 academic year on November 1, 2008.
Mary Meade Maxwell Fund and the Mary L. Clark Grant are designed for graduate students pursuing ministerial and/or full-time church-related vocations. This year 21 awards were granted to 11 deserving students.

The Synod is very proud to be a small part of these students' educational life and goals. If you know of a high school senior, college student, or post-graduate student, please encourage them to investigate and apply for our scholarships for the 2008-2008 academic year.
