The N.B.P.C. Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Black Presbyterian Caucus was formed to bring about justice, reconciliation and liberation of our people within the Presbyterian Church and our communities. A series of educational and enriching workshops focusing on The History of Black Presbyerian, Stewardship, Community Ministry and The Health of the Black Family has been planned for 2013.
An emerging network, N.B.P.C. Pittsburgh Chapter was created between the African American Churches of Pittsburgh Presbytery which includes, Bethesda United PC, Bidwell PC, Grace Memorial PC, Valley View PC and House of Manna.
Future events will extend their network to churches in both the Harrisburg and Philadelphia areas. Their intentions are to build a Synod-Wide network that will strenghtern all their individual churches.
The May 2013 Spiritual Retreat was highlighted by these keynote speakers:
