logoThe Camping Association of the Presbyteries of Northwestern Pennsylvania hired the Rev. Joseph Tagliaferre to manage and direct both camps at its board meeting in early December.

“I’m excited because Joe fits into our newly-emerging plan for the camps regarding expectations campers have in coming to our facilities for summer camp and rentals,” said the Rev. Ed Gray, President of the Board of Directors.

Rev. Jeffrey Lang, a board member from Beaver-Butler Presbytery, added, “Tagliaferre has a nice range of work experience that has him well suited for what we need for our camps.”

Besides having served both as interim and full-time pastor in churches, Tagliaferre has camp counseling, facilities coordinator, non-profit director, work in guest services and industrial engineering as a cross-section of work history. Tagliaferre has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Geneva College, a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

Tagliaferre said, “I look forward to sharing my life experiences with helping give direction to Camps Lambec and Westminster Highlands. It is an exciting time to help campers be grounded in a quality outdoors experience that is rooted in Jesus Christ and the love for God’s awesome creation.”

The 2016 camping information is being updated and will be available as soon as possible early in the New Year. Updates will be available via Facebook, Twitter and the camp websites here.
