Pic for WebsiteElizabeth Connelly has been hired as the Synod of the Trinity’s new Connections Coordinator. Elizabeth has been a Communications Coordinator at Dickinson College for the past three years, prior to which she held other positions at Dickinson. A lifelong Presbyterian who is a member at Second Presbyterian Church in Carlisle, PA, Elizabeth brings career experience in event planning, as well as grant writing, to the Synod.

“We are thrilled to have Elizabeth taking on the ministry of logistical work for us as well as administrating and expanding our work with grants,” said the Rev. Susan Faye Wonderland, transitional executive for the Synod of the Trinity. “A new piece for us involves her connecting the Synod, our presbyteries and congregations with relevant grant opportunities. Together we will be determining how this new work will unfold!”

A graduate of Lycoming College, with degrees in communication and music, as well as culinary school, Elizabeth has a passion for serving through disaster relief and alleviating food insecurity both locally and abroad. She is also the treasurer for the parent board at St. Patrick School in Carlisle, where her daughter attends elementary school, and serves on both the Lunch & Learn and Kids in the Kitchen Committees at Project Share food pantry.

“Relationship building is my strongest gift,” Elizabeth said. “I look forward getting to know our presbyteries and churches better, and serving our community with my grants management and event planning skills.”

Spending time outdoors with her family, working on various art projects and studying culinary trends are a few of her favorite activities.
