Lend A Hand is a disaster response and assistance program that is a mission project of the Presbytery of Carlisle.

Lend a HandAs of LAH’s most recent trip to Princeville, N.C., it has sent 183 volunteers and has worked on 40 homes to rebuild following flooding in 2018. In addition to the volunteers from the Harrisburg area, it has also been joined by volunteers from New York, Ohio, Maryland, North Carolina and Florida, as well as student groups from Wilson College.

LAH’s fall schedule has now been set. It has three trips scheduled to North Carolina. The Sept. 8-14 trip will be led by Jim and Deb, the Oct. 13-19 trip by Bill and the Nov. 10-16 trip by George. You can sign up online at lendahand.net, download an application and mail it to the office or simply contact the office for one. LAH is limited to around 20 per trip, so sign up now while your schedule is open! Cost of the trips has not been finalized but should be between $50 and $75 for the week.
