Rev. H. Paul Leap, who worked for the Synod of the Trinity supporting youth education in the 1960s and ’70s, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Sept. 24. He was 97.

Before his retirement in December 1981, Rev. Leap served the ministry for both the Presbyterian and Methodist churches for 35-plus years. From 1960 to 1978 he worked for the Synod in Harrisburg and then in Camp Hill once the new office was completed. In the spring of 1978 he took a position with the Central Florida Presbytery supporting new church development until he retired in late 1981.

A memorial service to celebrate Rev. Leap will be held Friday, Oct. 6, at 1:30 p.m. at Westminster Shores, Blackburn Chapel, 125 56th Ave., South, St. Petersburg, FL 33705.
