Lend A Hand is a disaster response and assistance program that is a mission project of the Presbytery of Carlisle.

Lend a HandLend A Hand is looking ahead to the fall. The group will be traveling to a new location the week of Sept. 7-13. The new Presbyterian Disaster Assistance site is located in Spruce Pine, NC. Spruce Hill is located between Asheville and Boone and was hard hit by Hurricane Helene. There is plenty of work of all kinds to do in order to get these people safely back into their homes. There is a limit of 20 people for this trip (10 spots remain) and the cost will be $100 for returning volunteers and $50 for any new volunteers. Lend A Hand is hopeful that this trip fills up quickly. To register, send an email to lendahand@gmail.com or complete an online application at https://lendahand.net/.

The October trip (5-11) will be to New Bern once again. Hopefully no damaging weather hits them over the summer months.

The final fall trip is scheduled for Nov. 9-15. The location is TBA.

Lend A Hand is located in the Presbytery of Carlisle office at 2601 N. Front Street, Suite 209, in Harrisburg, PA.
