Ryan Croft has been named the new executive director of Krislund Camp and Conference Center in Madisonburg, PA. Ryan and his wife, Mala, arrived at Krislund over the Christmas season and are already greatly involved in preparing for Krislund’s future.

Prior to coming to Krislund, Ryan served as the executive director for Hilltop Christian Camp in Indiana for six years. During his years as an executive camp director he has developed a strong foundation in operations management, public relations and strategic planning. Ryan has also demonstrated his commitment to communication and customer service.

When asked what he might like the friends of Krislund to know, his quick response was to emphasize his passion for Christian camping.

“I believe that summer camp is the single best thing we can do for our young people,” Ryan said. He added that he is committed to sharing that ministry with all who support Krislund.

Before moving into camp ministry Ryan served in youth ministry for more than 20 years and has served as a lead minister.

Additionally, he worked as the outdoor adventure director with Camp Towanda in Honesdale, PA, for three summers; served on the board of directors with Camp Rudolph in Yale, VA; and served five years as the dean of middle school as well as the dean of the middle/high school.

Married 29 years, Ryan and Mala have two adult children: Laurel in Georgia and Thomas (and Rebekah) in Tennessee. While the Crofts are empty nesters, they are eager to welcome all who come to Krislund: retreaters and, especially, campers.

Ryan and Mala are excited to be part of what God is doing at Krislund Camp and Conference Center. Ryan is committed to connecting with the churches in the presbyteries and the many individuals who value the Krislund ministry. He will be providing updates each month on what is happening at camp. Meanwhile, your prayers for a successful 2026 are important, so please keep Krislund on your prayer list in the coming year.

P.S. You will often see Ryan sign his correspondence with “Living 10 for 2.” Here is how Ryan explains it:

“Giving campers the opportunity to come experience Christ in the midst of God’s beautiful creation is amazing and something we want every child to have the opportunity to experience. Our summer camp program is the main purpose of why Krislund exists, and so everything else we do all year long is based on making sure we are able to do summer camp.

That is why I say that I am living 10 for 2, because for 10 months of the year myself and all of us at Krislund are working to plan, prepare and carry on other things that help to support and ensure that we are able to provide two months of summer camp every year, 10 for 2! So, when you see me sign a note or hear me share with others that I am “Living 10 for 2”, that is what it means. Our summer camp program is that important!  All year long, that is what drives me to do what I do for Krislund.”
