- Synod Assembly Opening Worship
- Synod Transitional Executive Susan Faye Wonderland will begin the 2021 Synod Assembly in opening worship. Susan will be assisted in worship with communion by Synod Co-Moderators Charles Best and Martha Jordan. You are welcome to stay with us for other Monday morning/afternoon highlights, including an “Acknowledgement of the Land” piece that pays tribute to the Native Americans who settled in our region before us and various other reports.
- MONDAY, OCT. 25 – 7 p.m.
- Celebration of Susan Faye Wonderland’s Ministry
- The region comes together to honor the work of Transitional Executive Susan Faye Wonderland, whose contract is ending Dec. 31. Join us in celebrating her time and call as both an associate executive (2009-14) and transitional executive (2014-21) in the Synod of the Trinity.
- TUESDAY, OCT. 26 – 10 a.m.
- Election of New Executive & Closing Worship
- A new era begins at the Synod when a candidate for the executive position is named and voted upon by the Synod commissioners. A new Synod co-moderator will also be announced on this day, and commissioners with expiring terms will be recognized. The Synod Assembly wraps up with closing worship and a ceremonial “hand off” from the transitional executive to the newly elected executive.
