Mike Givler is the Synod of the Trinity’s new communications coordinator. Mike comes to the Synod from the Lebanon Daily News where he was the sports editor for the past 15 years. He had been in the newspaper business for a total of 22 years after graduating from Penn State University.

During Mike’s time in the newspaper business, he received three state awards from the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association and covered local and national events, including Super Bowl XXXV in Tampa, Fla., where Lebanon native Kerry Collins and his New York Giants took on the Baltimore Ravens.

“I’m looking forward to helping the Synod of the Trinity reach out to the presbyteries and churches in the tri-state area and further generate interest and excitement in all of the positive work that is being done,” Mike said. “It will be my pleasure to work hand-in-hand with Susan Wonderland and her staff and all of the churches in the Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio areas to help promote the things being accomplished in God’s name.”
Anyone who has a story idea or who needs some communications support is urged to contact Mike by email ( or by phone (717-737-0421, ext. 233).
