Philly projectYouth from Olivet Presbyterian Church in Prospect Park, PA, along with their leaders, made the short drive to Philadelphia for the Philadelphia Project mission trip on July 9-15. While there, they worked with two north Philadelphia homeowners to repair their houses. A Synod of the Trinity Mission Travel Grant helped cover expenses for the group.

At the Philadelphia Project they joined with about 120 other youth from churches from as far away as Boston and as close as Havertown to do home repair, run a kids camp and do mercy ministries such as working with the homeless. They became part of the neighborhood for the week, swimming in a local pool and engaging with neighbors. Every evening the youth would have a time of worship, preaching and discussion. The students and leaders had a meaningful time of hard work, new friendships and engagement in new ways with God.
