LehighThe Helping Hands Care Team of Lehigh Presbytery is planning a mission work trip to Sumter, SC, on March 18-25, 2017 to assist with the recovery efforts after heavy rains and flooding caused extensive damage to the churches and homes in that area. This will be their third trip to South Carolina.

They are seeking volunteers to help with the reconstruction with no specific skills or experience required, other than to be flexible and provide whatever help is needed. Of course, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and dry wall installation skills are always welcome.

Volunteers will be staying at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 226 W. Liberty St., Sumter, SC. Elevated air mattresses are provided by the site. Volunteers are asked to bring sleeping bags. Showers and bathrooms available on site. Meals will be provided. Travel will be by rented passenger vans.

Cost is $175 per person and volunteers must register by March 6.

Registration forms and the flyer with information for this trip can be found on the Lehigh Presbytery website at here or you can call (610-391- 9020) or email (office@lehighpresbytery.org) the presbytery office.
